Pay rate: 13.20 per hour Night Shifts: 20:00 - 8:30am (12.5hr shift) Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.  You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.  It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals Assistance and support to attend medical appointments Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities. Complete daily administration including updating person centred support& care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes. Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders. Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards. To undertake key working responsibility for individual service users, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed. Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes Qualifications and Skills It is ESSENTIAL that you hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have your own vehicle to commute to our site due to the location being extremely remote and no bus routes available. Not holding this will not enable you to proceed with your application. Due to a shortage of female staff, we will only be considering female applications at this moment in time.  Must have right to work in the UK - We do not offer sponsorship for this role. Should you have limited leave to remain, you must have 9-13 months remaining on your visa before expiry. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Willingness to work towards a Diploma/SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature Empathy, understanding and patience Ogilvie Court is located in Earls Colne, near Colchester. It offers residential support for 25 people with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, and other associated needs. We can also support people who are on the autism spectrum and those who have physical disabilities. We are in a rural location, surrounded by lovely views and beautiful countryside. Our team are dedicated to providing the people we care for with the skills needed for them to live a healthier and happier life back in the community.
