Financial Controller Hospitality Industry York, North Yorkshire YO61 A GBP 45,000 : A GBP 50,000 per annum Hours of work Monday to Friday (40hrs) Permanent Office based role Commutable from York, Easingwold, Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Thirsk, Helmsley, Northallerton Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a hospitality business on the outskirts of York, North Yorkshire The Role You will report into the Group Finance Director and General Manager and have two reports of an Accounts Office Manager and a Finance Assistant. This senior position is pivotal in overseeing and managing the financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to the strategic growth of the business. What you will be doing * Oversee all financial activities and operations, including budgeting, forecasting, analysing and reporting. * Work closely with senior management to provide critical financial insights that support decision:making and drive profitability * Ensure accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements. * Lead the preparation of annual budgets, cash flow management, and variance analysis. * Monitor and review the hotels financial performance, ensuring targets and KPIs are met. * Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into financial trends, risks, and opportunities. * Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies. * Produce the payroll for all employees * Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and tax obligations. * Manage the accounting team, providing leadership, training, and performance reviews. * Drive cost control initiatives to improve profitability.
