Western Plains has advanced technology which improves security, streamlines operations and enhances connections for the people in our care.  About the Role This position sits within the Technology Services Team, which supports the prison and prison staff in areas such as Application Development & Support, Infrastructure Support, IT Asset Management and Communications devices support. The Information Technology Coordinator is responsible for supporting staff and people is our care in use of the technology, hardware and applications support and assist in implementation projects at Western Plains. This role acts collaboratively within Prison's Operations Team and other internal and external stakeholders. Given the nature of this position, being a direct contact with people in our care role within the facility, you will be required to work predominantly on-site. You will be required to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays and attend to urgent work as required. Appropriate remuneration will be applied for the above in accordance with the Victorian Public Service Determination. Some of your duties will include: Provide technical advice and assistance to Western Plains staff Assist in developing and managing of local IT systems Act as the Offender Services Network (OSN) administrator, including assisting in infrastructure upgrades, user and system requirements and publishing information on OSN Manage the implementation of upgrades and ongoing maintenance of the OSN Conduct regular audits of people in our care computers and other IT resources  To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.
