Reporting to the Senior Manager : Talent Operations and Payroll, the Payroll Manager leads a team responsible for managing the national wide payroll records and processing. The incumbent of the position acts as a rallying team leader and agent of change to lead and mobilize his team to keep pace in a fast:changing environment. Responsibilities: :Manages activities and coaches payroll staff :Manages payroll workload to meet operational requirements :Ensures payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner; ensures compliance of the payroll processing, in accordance with various provincial jurisdictions :Oversees and is accountable for compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements :Prepares and oversees relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year:end reports :Prepares and reviews payroll account reconciliations :Maintains accurate account balances :Supports all internal and external audits related to payroll :Manages and resolves issues relating to payroll production :Develops collaborative relationships and shares relevant knowledge with various stakeholders :Plans and oversees the whole year end process from end to end including mobility / shadow payroll :Provides recommendation for process improvement and minimizes errors to the payroll team Enough about us, let's talk about you Qualifications: :Minimum 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in Payroll :Bachelors degree or equivalent experience :Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred :Knowledge of accounting principles and practices :In:depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing :Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal rules and laws :Knowledge of PeopleSoft system is an asset :Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National and Global clients, bilingualism in French and English is an asset Total Rewards The salary range for this position is 85,000 : ,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
