The American revolution generated multiple stories that included and excluded actors, peoples, perspectives, and more. This course delves into the American revolution and the diversity of those engaged in it and affected by it. The songs, performances, and reception of the musical "Hamilton" are a key resource for exploring the events and role of the American Revolution. Minimum Qualifications:A Master's degree required in Social Sciences or Humanities. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred. Demonstrated research and/or teaching expertise on issues relating to the impact of the American revolution or cognate field is required. University level teaching experience is preferred, with demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching. Relevant Criterion:Past teaching experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position. Description of Duties: Normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
